About Urticaria Day

2026 Theme
The theme of UDAY 2026 is Take Back Control – From Itch to Understanding, focusing on the real impact of urticaria and the importance of recognising experiences beyond visible symptoms. For many people, urticaria is not just a skin condition. Persistent itch, swelling, and unpredictable flare-ups can significantly affect sleep, daily life, and emotional wellbeing.
This year’s theme highlights the need to better understand the full burden of the condition by listening to patient experiences and strengthening communication between patients and healthcare professionals. It also emphasises the importance of more personalised care, where treatment decisions reflect individual needs and priorities.
By highlighting lived experiences UDAY 2026 aims to improve understanding, support better care, and empower people living with urticaria to take back control of their condition.
